“I realised the range and depth of their needs were so complex that visiting them was not enough, I needed to live with them…they needed care and support to address many difficult life situations, especially those connected to interpersonal trauma, including the removal of their children.”

— Kate Cleary. CEO | The Farm in Galong.

  • Work with us

The Farm is always on the lookout for talented staff experienced in casework and trauma-informed support for clients. Living at the Farm full or part time is a requirement for staff. Other roles are also available on enquiry e.g. providing support to the social enterprise, tutoring or administrative support.

  • Volunteer

The Farm has many volunteers who work off-site, performing a variety of tasks such as assisting with grant applications, sourcing items (e.g. a beehive, a car), helping with accreditation or other processes, and being involved in the Bunnings BBQs we hold. Board and Committee members volunteer their time in those roles.

  • Grants|Fundraising

One of the easiest ways so support the Farm is to be a regular donor. Just click the Donate button, which will also link you to our beautiful Cookbook, which makes a great gift. If you want to be part of our 10cent recycling program it’s simple to join up - details also on the Donate link. You could also hold a fundraising event, organise a Bunnings BBQ, or join the Fundraising team.

What our team members say about working at
The Farm in Galong.

“As a board member, fundraiser, and volunteer at The Farm in Galong, it’s the most rewarding thing I’ve done in my life. Staying connected with some of the residents who have graduated the program, and seeing how their lives are forever changed, gives me a hope and happiness greater even than what I’ve ever found in my own career or family. It’s amazing.”
